Vari-Stroke Crankshaft

Vari-Stroke / Volume is accomplished with the use of the patented hydraulic variable crankshaft. The crank pin offset distance is variable through the use of a remote hydraulic control system like the master cylinder and wheel cylinder used on automobile brakes. This combined arrangement allows the stroke travel length and volume of the pump to be varied while the pump is operating. In other words, the pump volume can be varied on-the-fly.

This image shows a Vari-Stroke crankshaft in a full stroke position and a neutral stroke position. There are countless applications for this new innovation.

This image shows a Vari-Stroke crankshaft disassembled, exposing the stationary crank piston and hydraulic feeder hole located near the center on the crank pin portion of the crankshaft.

The Vari-Stroke crank pin cylinder and crank pin bearings are laid out in the lower portion of the image. The interior design of the Vari-Stroke crank pin cylinder cap, spring cap and return spring are exposed.
